Any apps that are not chosen will need to be manually updated. Simply mark the checkboxes next to the desired apps. In the Software Update section, there is a small section that states, “Some apps can be updated along with this software update.” By clicking on the “Choose apps to update” link, users are taken to a new screen where they can select which apps will be updated alongside the system update. This option can significantly speed up the OS update process. However, with the new user control feature in One UI 6, Galaxy owners can now choose which system apps they want to update when installing the new Android version. This meant that even if a newer version of a particular app had known bugs, users had no way to prevent the updates from occurring. Previously, when a new Android update was installed, all system apps on the phone would be automatically updated without any user input. One noteworthy feature that many have not yet discovered is the enhanced control over app updates that this update provides. Samsung’s One UI 6 Beta 3 update is now available in select countries, including Germany, the USA, and now India, bringing several new features to the Galaxy S23.
